Our apprenticeship program aims to enhance Idaho’s cybersecurity resilience while equipping individuals with practical knowledge, industry-recognized credentials, and relevant skills to prepare them for immediate employment in the field. Through providing hands-on learning opportunities for students and emerging professionals within local and tribal organizations, Operation Cyber Idaho aims to grow Idaho’s talent pipeline and strengthen statewide security.

Looking to host an Apprentice?
Cities, counties, school districts, and tribes in Idaho can host a fully funded cybersecurity apprentice through Operation Cyber Idaho (OCI). This program strengthens local cybersecurity readiness while growing Idaho’s talent pipeline by providing students and emerging professionals with a 2‑year hands-on learning experience. Participating partners receive access to State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) services and an onsite apprentice who helps lead cyber assessments and support efforts.
